By recognizing the necessity and importance of lifelong learning, MISD Community Education links the community and its schools while, at the same time, enriching the quality of life for all citizens. Our classes are conducted for the benefit and the enjoyment of our patrons. We offer a wide variety of classes, both in the classroom and online for students of all ages and interests!
MISD Community Education began during the 1991-1992 school year with twelve classes offered. It has continued to grow and expand and currently offers more than 200 classes. MISD Community Education is a self-supporting program within the Mesquite Independent School District. MISD Community Education funds are used to pay instructors, classroom supplies and catalog publication costs. MISD Community Education also proudly supports several community service projects.
