Summer Crochet Club
It’s almost summer, and you know what that means — summer crochet class! For first-timers (those who have not attended a summer crochet class before but have crocheted before), bring your current projects to work on during class. Linda Rhodes, our award-winning crochet instructor, will help with any problems or questions you might have. Also, this is a great time to finish potential prize-winning entries for the Texas State Fair. The deadline to register for creative arts contests is usually in early August. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to join other former students, as well as our instructor, in bringing home blue ribbons.
If you have never crocheted before, but you always wanted to learn, join us and learn how. You will learn basic crochet stitches including single, double and treble [triple] crochet. You will also gain an understanding of how to read patterns. Before you know it, you will be on your way to creating beautiful items for your home or to give as gifts. (Of course, you can always keep them for yourself, too!)
If you have crocheted before but haven’t done it in awhile, now is the time to pick it back up. Brush up on your skills in a fun, easy-going atmosphere.
