Have you noticed that knitting is again becoming popular? The knitting of today is not your grandmother’s knitting! Join us for this great class to learn the art of knitting from beginning to end. Beginners will work on a scarf, while learning how to cast on and cast off. In between casting on and off, you learn basic stitches including knit, purl, garter, stockinette, ribbing, and seed. As a bonus, you will also learn about gauge and reading patterns. If you already know basic knitting stitches, bring current or new project to class to refine your skills. For beginners, a supply list will provided to you upon registration. You will need to bring supplies to class with you. A supply list can be found online. It can also be emailed to you upon registration. Basic knitting skills, including casting on, knitting and purling, are suggested for this class.
