Beginning Guitar I

Do you fancy yourself to be the next Brad Paisley, Stevie Ray Vaughn or John Mayer? Perhaps, you think you could be the next Angus Young, Michelle Branch or Billie Joe Armstrong. All of these talented guitarists started out with the basics before becoming world-renowned musicians. Come and join us for this fun beginner’s class. Many fundamentals are covered in this class, including: tuning your guitar; basic open and barre chords; beginning note reading; and timing. Along with making new musical friendships, you will learn how to play actual songs in this light-hearted and low-pressure class. Each student will need his or her own guitar, either acoustic or electric (including amplifier and extension cord). [Adults 14 and up.] The required book fee of $7 is included in the cost of this class.
