Volleyball for Beginners [grades 5-8]
Do you want to get more active and learn a great new sport? Join us for this great beginners’ class! Perhaps Gabrielle Reece or Albert Hannemann got their start in a camp just like this one. You can improve your coordination and conditioning while having fun participating in scrimmages and drills. Fundamentals covered will include serving, sending the ball back over the net, bumping (passing), rotating, and the rules for volleyball. If you are thinking about trying out for middle school volleyball, this camp will get you ready for tryouts. Participants will need to come dressed for active play and they will need to bring water, too. Proper footwear is mandatory for playing in the gym. Participants must have completed grades 5 through 8 in the current school year [2009-2010].
Deadline to register is JULY 22, 2010! Enrollment limited to first 35 registrations received for this session.
Save money! Take BOTH
Volleyball and Basketball for $160!
If your child chooses to take both Volleyball and Basketball, he or she will need to bring a sack lunch.
Students will NOT be allowed to leave campus between camps, unless accompanied by parent or legal guardian.
This camp is taught by Texas Community Education Association [TCEA] 2009 Teacher of the Year Kara Quinn.
